Rocky Lhotka recently released his CSLA .NET 3.0 Business Object framework. I’ve followed Rocky’s work since the days of Professional Visual Basic 5.0 Business Objects (Professional), Visual Basic 6.0 Business Objects, Professional Visual Basic 6 Distributed Objects, all the way to Expert C# 2005 Business Objects, Second Edition. I’ve even used CSLA on some projects in a former life. I have not kept up with advances in CSLA .NET since 2.0 other than reading Rocky’s blog. In his roadmap, Rocky mentions that he is focusing on writing CSLA .NET 3.5 with an emphasis on how LINQ will be incorporated and creating CSLA Light for Silverlight 1.1. He also plans on updating his book for 3.5. I’m curious to see how Rocky and others (like the folks over at patterns & practices) incorporate LINQ into their frameworks/libraries.
